About Us

Next Step Ministry Partners exists to build up the Body of Christ through step-by-step, life-on-life connection in Christ. The vision is to bring more and more of the Body of Christ to complete maturity.

The ministry was founded in Jacmel, Haiti during the time of Hurricane Matthew in 2016. During that time, Jonas and Guerdie Dore were hosting their long-time friends, Shannon and Patsy Tucker of Colorado. Through conversation, prayer, and ministry experiences together in the Jacmel area during the hurricane, God led these friends to begin a new work together in the Holy Spirit. This new work would be a joint Haitian-American ministry, partnering American and Haitian believers together and cross-pollinating resources, experiences and insights.

Jonas is a graduate of the S.T.E.P. seminary in Port-Au-Prince. He is the pastor of Christ Capable Church in Cayes-Jacmel, Haiti, and a former Associate Pastor at Community Church of Haiti, in Delmas. Jonas’ longtime focus has been evangelism, discipleship, and church leadership development.

Guerdie is a skilled singer and worship leader, and grew up in church as a pastor’s daughter. She mentors younger women in the church, and has also worked as a bookkeeper and school administrator. She and Jonas have three children.

Shannon and Patsy Tucker administrate Next Step Ministry Partners. The Tuckers have traveled to Haiti many times to come alongside Haitian believers in their ministry, and have also received the Dores and other Haitians to minister with them in Colorado.

The Tuckers led the worship ministry at Valley Fellowship Church in Buena Vista, CO, for many years. Since retiring from that ministry, they continue to minister through music to Colorado churches and ministries, and to play for residents of Columbine Manor in Salida, CO.

Next Step Ministry Partners is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity.
